研究院概况

研究院简介

中山大学深圳研究院（以下简称“研究院”）成立于2006年9月，2007年4月正式入驻深圳虚拟大学园，是中山大学在深圳成立的事业单位。研究院秉承中山大学“以贡献促共建、国际水平、国家需求”的办学理念，积极响应深圳市三大产业振兴发展的需要，把中山大学优势的学科、教育与科技资源引入深圳，将研究院打造成一个中山大学服务深圳地方的一流的产学研结合创新基地，使其逐步发展成为面向港澳台、面向世界的技术创新、成果转化、人才培养和学术交流的中心。

研究院依托中山大学在数字家庭领域的各项优势，坚持技术创新、产品创新与服务创新相结合，重点开展数字生活网络与内容服务、数字家庭及三网融合终端产品、集成电路、软件工程等方向的科学研究与成果转化工作。

在生物医药领域，研究院依托中山大学生命科学院的学科优势，成立“有害生物控制与资源利用国家重点实验室深圳研发中心”, 发挥产学研密切结合的特色，集中精力做好生物医药、食品安全及生态环境研发及成果产业化工作。

自2009年以来，研究院连续六年被深圳市科技创新委员会授予“优秀研究院。自入驻深圳虚拟大学园以来，研究院多次获得促进产学研合作先进奖、科技资源引进奖、人才培养与引进先进奖、入孵企业引进奖、大型学术会议及论坛组织奖等多种奖项。依托深圳虚拟大学园博士后工作站平台，研究院积极引进博士后开展信息技术与生物医药领域科学研究。

研究院拥有一支高水平的研究队伍。中青年科技人员占70%以上，专业涵盖计算机科学与技术、信息与通信工程、生物医药、生命科学、网络与信息安全、金融投资、工商管理、法律、会计、生产运作、项目管理等。研究院致力于打造服务于深圳中小企业的产学研创新平台。

依托中山大学雄厚的师资力量，携手国内外顶级名校教授学者，我们积极引进国内外优秀的学位与非学位课程，针对深港核心行业的独特需求设计开发各类精选课程。同时，我们为企业、政府部门及其他组织机构提供量身定做的整体培训及咨询解决方案，致力于将中山大学的教育成果服务于社会。

研究院与深圳的多家大中型企业开展了产学研合作，如华为、创维、康佳、深圳地铁、深圳创新投资集团、康泰药业等企业，成功转化成果数十项，取得了显著的社会效益和经济效益，为建设“智慧深圳”贡献力量。

About Sun Yat-sen University
Sun Yat-sen University, was founded in 1924 by Dr. Sun Yat-sen (also called Sun Zhongshan), a great democratic revolutionary leader of the 20th century. The University is located in Guangdong Province, an area neighboring Hong Kong and Macao, which is at the forefront of China's reform and opening up.

Being one of the leading universities in the People's Republic of China, Sun Yat-sen University is a comprehensive multi-disciplinary university, including the humanities, social sciences, natural sciences, technical sciences, medical sciences, pharmacology, and management sciences.

It has about 82,384 students studying on four campuses in Guangzhou and Zhuhai. Benefiting from its location near Hong Kong and Macao and the regional advantage of opening and economic development, the university has become an important base for training high-level talents, scientific research, providing services to society and inheriting cultural traditions.

The University has also successfully built international cooperation and exchange relationships with many top universities in the world. According to the Times Higher Education World University Ranking for 2010-2011, Sun Yat-sen University was ranked in the top 200 in the world.

At present, Sun Yat-sen University covers a total area of 5.972 square kilometers and has 4 campuses: Guangzhou South Campus, Guangzhou North Campus, Guangzhou East Campus, and Zhuhai Campus.

About Shenzhen Research Institute
Founded in September 2006, Shenzhen Research Institute of Sun Yat-Sen University is a public non-profit organization of Sun Yat-Sen University approved by Shenzhen Municipal Government. It is the important research-teaching-industrialization base of Sun Yat-sen University in Shenzhen. Carrying on Sun Yat-sen University’s mission, taking advantage of its strength in research and talents training, the institute is aiming to become the center of technological innovation, talent cultivation, and academic exchange for the Asia region, and the world.

The institute is mainly engaged in providing graduate studies of information systems and cooperate executive trainings, operating key research laboratories and innovative platforms, promoting innovation and invention, collaborating with industries, and becoming government think tank, etc.

Since its foundation, the institute has established partnerships with multiple major enterprises in Shenzhen, including Huawei, Skyworth, Konka, and Shenzhen Capital Group, and has undertaken over a hundred National, Provincial and Municipal funded research projects in additional to enterprise supported projects. The institute has successfully established postdoctoral training base, and recently was awarded Innovative Research Institution by Provincial Government in 2015.
